Our team

All the team have their own boats so jointly have experience in sailing and motorboating. 

Helen Thomas 

Director

Helen is the business owner and an ex-professional sailor on private boats on the Mediterranean and Caribbean circuits. She has also run two successful corporate events businesses in the marine sector.

Helen bought the business from Richard Rouse in 2022 and is now in her eighth year with Ocean Rigging. She spends most of her time in the workshop office carrying out the paperwork, advising clients, quoting and organising the schedule. 

Nick Burden 

Senior Rigger

Nick is our senior rigger and has been with Ocean Rigging for over 16 years.  He is a keen sailor racing locally and cruising on his own yacht. With a background in engineering he is excellent at problem solving. 

Mo Gray

Rigger

Mo carries out most of the rope work as well as assisting Nick when needed. He is a well known and respected professional racer and heads off a few times a year to attend high level events.
